Latest Jamaica Trip

Sooo my friends… as you eventually already know,  I’m back from Jamaica again and trying to get comfortable with the cold! 😉
In the past two months on the Island I put a lot of time in my musical works. Some new great songs were recorded, one of them ‚Let My People Go‘ with Trenchtown aritst Torch The Everburning Flame, plus a next very special song with Kyenie on a melodic riddim by Kingstonian Producer Debo Ras (former Raging Fire). A very nice video for ‚Shining Star‘ was shot at ‚Help Jamaica‘ – Library in Cassava Piece, Kingston. As well, for the song with Torch, a next amazing video was shot in Kingston’s ghetto area of Stand Pipe.

On this visit I had the chance to promote my upcoming compilation ‚COOKIEBOX‘ through interviews at important Jamaican Radio and TV stations such as Hitz92 FM, RJR, TVJ (Prime Time Show), Reggae To Reggae Radio, interviews for big newspapers such as The Jamaica Observer and Jamaica Star. And even more important, I had the oppurtunity to perform some of my newest songs at parties like Vynil Thursdays in Kingston City. Some of my new songs even got played at world famous dances like Wedi Wedi Wednesdays and got some spins on different local radios. The video clips to my songs ‚Never Stop‘ and ‚I Wish‘ got on rotation on Jamaican TV Channels like Hype TV, RETV and TVJ.

And of course I again fully enjoyed Jamaicas beautiful nature, landscapes, food, music culture etc. etc. Also, it was a joy to visit some long time friends like Prezident Brown and U Brown, talking about all aspects of Reggae music with greates like Jack Radics, partying with Reggae and Dub – legend and friend Lee Perry and wife, visiting historical studios and driving from one party to the next with original DJ legends U-Brown, Ranking Joe and Burro Banton… Getting new inspiration for my musical art, path and journey, enjoying festivals like Rebel Salute in St. Ans, dubbing and skanking at Dub Club on Jacks Hill overviewing the whole City of Kingston by night, bathing and refreshing the soul in the waters of Reach Falls in Portland, admiring the sunsets in Negrils West End, swimming in the waters of White River in Ocho Rios, inhaling the healing grasses of Orange Hill, breathing the fresh air of the Blue Mountains, making new experiences, getting rid of old scars and burdens, getting wiser through finding out who is true and who is not and of course gaining a lot of new strength for the future! And the future shall be bright!
MORE MUSIC!
